December Recipe from Leeds UK

Pomanders were used in Tudor times in England to make the houses smell nice at Christmas

                                                    Start with an orange

Press some cloves into the skin of the orange

The children in Year 3 were dressed as Tudors for their Tudor day in the time of Queen Elizabeth I in 1585

Tie a bright coloured ribbon round the orange

And there you have your pomanders!

Dry them in a warm place and hang them on your Christmas tree.
