April Recipe from Leeds UK

Oaty Ginger Biscuits


Ingredients

75g caster sugar
100g butter
65g plain flour
90g rolled oats
Pinch of salt
¼ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
½ tablespoon golden syrup
1 tablespoon hot water
 ½ teaspoon ground ginger

Method

  1. Weigh out ingredients
  2. Turn oven to 180 oC
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
  4. Add flour, oats and salt.
  5. Mix bicarbonate of soda, syrup, water & ginger in a small bowl. Add this to the mixture and stir well.
  6. Roll into small balls. Place on greased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 20 mins. Leave to cool on a wire rack
